I figured that I have spent oodles of dollars pursuing my computer science career, my silly car, house, et al... I should put a few dollars towards my art (which at this point feels like a faint pulse). Rather than try to make room in my house for canvases and acrylics, I've decided to try all digital this time. But I can't abide my Wacom tablet. I'm trying, but it all looks so juvenile. I got a chance to play with a Cintiq. Just like a Wacom, but you draw right onto the screen. Eeeeeez booo-ee-ful. I had to have one. So yum. 21UX or something... the big one. Thank you ebay -- $600 cheaper than sticker price (still costs as much as 1800 dollars worth of pudding though).

We'll see... If I suck at it, I'll just photograph stuff down at the museum and pass it off as my own. Works with all the family pictures I have hanging around my house.

Also... I got talked into a subscription of ImagineFx. Hey if I'm not going to DO anything, I may as well make it appear that way. (I'm starting to doubt I got that particular moral principle correct).

May I say... Katarina Sokolova... I'm in love with you. (www.katarinasokolova.com).

I will leave you with this:

Painting: The art of protecting flat surfaces from the weather and exposing them to the critic.

Ambrose Bierce (1842 - 1914), The Devil's Dictionary

:iconbraverude:
songs from Amelie on the piano?? can you play Comptine D'un Autre Ete - the Yann Tiersen song? that song is like the love of my life. I'm only learning piano so of course it seems death hard to me, but someday! :blowkiss:
:icondancing-platypus:
yes I can! :-) I absolutely love that song. I love to play it.

And it really isn't so hard. the left hand is exactly the same the whole way through.

Thank you so much for the comment!
